Sites, access, collecting rules, clubs, and evidence attached to every location.
Add three photographs or thirty. Move, overlap, rotate, resize, duplicate, and layer real catalogue images on a box you size yourself.
Entered dimensions set the canvas proportion only. Photographs are not to scale, and this studio does not test clearance or physical fit.
Luster is the way a mineral surface reflects light. It is not the mineral’s color.
A photograph freezes one light angle. Use these as reference points, then confirm with the specimen in your hand.
Metallic or vitreous? Metallic looks like metal. Vitreous looks like glass.
Pearly or silky? Pearly follows broad sheets. Silky follows fine parallel fibers.
One specimen can show more than one luster on different surfaces. Record the surface you actually observed.
Luster can narrow the possibilities, but it cannot identify a mineral by itself. Add hardness, streak, or cleavage before comparing matches.
No luster observation saved yet.
Save a luster observation, then add any property you actually tested.
Specific gravity compares a specimen’s density with water. Use this test only for a sound, water-safe specimen that can be fully suspended without touching the container.
specific gravity = dry mass ÷ (dry mass − suspended mass)Skip this test for soluble, porous, friable, coated, or water-sensitive specimens. Remove bubbles and keep the specimen clear of the container.
Restore one living crystal to a neglected alien orchard, then carry it to the Cabinet House.
Fictional ecology · real catalogue specimens remain separateCatalogue pieces from the device-local specimen tray can appear here as previews. They are not purchases, ownership records, stock confirmations, or game upgrades.
The next tools should begin with a real field, shop, or workshop task—not a generic app format.

An explainable evidence graph that carries uncertainty forward instead of hiding it.
Match machines, abrasives, budgets, and material to the work someone actually wants to do.
Private locations, field tests, permissions, images, and later identification in one record.
Minerals crossed with deep time, geography, labor, material culture, and excellent tangents.
Crystal symmetry, coordinates, tiling, and color rules as a visual mathematics tool.
